There’s a chill in the air, and all we want is warm melty cheese. Why not prepare a little cheesy goodness for your child’s lunchbox as well? We have the perfect recipe for you, adapted from Bon Appetit.
Ham and Cheese Quesadillas
Ingredients
- Tortillas, wheat or your preferred variety
- Mustard, maybe whole grain?
- Jarlsberg cheese. Swiss can be substituted!
- Ham, thinly sliced
- Baby Spinach leaves
Layer all the ingredients on top of your tortilla, and of course, ask your child if they would like to lend a hand! A suggested order would be mustard, cheese, ham, then spinach.
Your child will like this part. Carefully fold the whole thing in half. Press in a Panini grill or just a hot pan until the tortilla is golden and the cheese is melty.
Remove from the pan and let cool. Cut into wedges and enjoy immediately or pack for lunch!
