To do: Recreate some constellations from these sewing cards on black paper, using the long neglected white crayon!
Time: 15 minutes
Materials: Black construction paper, white crayon
__
What constellations are in your night sky right now? Choose a few, perhaps shapes of animals you love or the star sign for your birthday, and recreate them on black paper!
For this activity, you can dig out all the unused white crayons in your crayon box. Alternatively, gel pens make quite the impression on black paper.
Use a pencil to give your younger child a guide of where the stars belong. Ask your older child to make their own constellations based on an image you view online or in a book. Perhaps they would like to invent their own star shapes!
However you go about it, have a blast drawing twinkly white stars on black paper.
