Your child can practice using a scissors with this dedicated activity. To get started, simply print out the designs you see in the video here.
Alternatively, create your own designs on a piece of white printer paper or colored paper using a marker or fine-point pen.
Arrange all of your materials in a basket or on a tray. Invite your child to give it a try! Challenge them to cut only on the lines, and when they are done, simply deposit the snipped paper in recycling or trash.
Put new designs or colored paper in your child’s “Snip Basket” every so often. They will stay intrigued, and hone their skills over time!
