To do: Grab a camera and go on a walk, letting your child snap photos of autumnal changes.
Time: 1 hour
Materials: Camera, nice place to walk
We’re big fans of photo walks. Probably because A) it’s fun to go on a walk B) taking photos of your normal environment helps you see it in a different way.
For this activity, find a camera you feel comfortable letting your child be in charge of. Perhaps an old phone, digital camera, or a good old disposable camera.
Go to your local park or nature reserve, or just a street with beautiful trees. Examine the world like you’ve never seen it before, and take photos to document your exploration!
Later, having a viewing party with popcorn and let your child tell the story of your walk. What did you do, what did you see, and how did you capture memories in photos?
Have a lovely time exploring fall!
